Terms of Service

1. The service

WeScanTransfer Drop moves files between your own devices and, via DropMail, to people you choose — over encrypted connections, with automatic deletion (24h for device↔device, 48h for DropMail unless deleted sooner). Using the service means you accept these terms.

2. Your content stays yours

You keep full ownership of everything you transfer. You grant us only the minimal technical license needed to store and deliver it for the retention window. We never open your files, analyze them for marketing, or train AI on them.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to transfer illegal content, malware, or content you have no right to share; don't abuse, overload, or attempt to break the service or other people's sessions; don't use DropMail for spam. We may block transfers, file types, or sources that endanger the service or its users.

4. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you transfer, for sharing links only with people you trust, and for downloading what you need before it auto-deletes. Expired content is unrecoverable — by design.

5. Free service, no warranty

The service is currently provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently: zero). Paid plans will get their own billing terms when they launch.

6. Changes & termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes get a notice on the site. You can stop using the service at any time — "Delete now" wipes your data instantly.
